Please take note, although this message is written for Christians, some of it will apply to unbelievers also. Anyone caught up in the sin of sexual perversion needs to live in shame no more. Should anyone in bondage to sexual sin be reading this, I just want you to know that Jesus Christ is right there beside you, longing to set you free from the bondage you are in. No woman was born for lesbianism. No man was born for homosexuality. The devil is a liar who has sold you a lie just like he sold a lie to Eve. Lesbianism is a demon spirit that has to be resisted, confronted and cast out. Lesbianism or any sexual perversion is not meant to be a part of you. It is another person, a demon spirit. So take courage. The devil wants you to live in shame. He wants you to live in darkness and in shame. Then he wants you to take part in the blame game where you judge others for the sin of sexual perversion you know in yourself you are doing. Now, this will not work. It is actually dishonest and very cowardly. So you need to shine the light on this sin. It's time to let the light of the Holy Spirit shine on it. You've hidden it for too long. How do you shine the light on the sin of perversion? Two ways - by taking it honestly to the Lord and by judging it by the word of God. The Bible says, "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet". Romans 1 v 24 - 28. The first step to getting free from sin, is to be honest about it. One thing that may be of help, is to pray and ask God what the root of the sexual perversion is. It is important to know where it came from, and what doorway you opened to the devil to allow lustful thoughts and sexual perversion into your life. Now this will not be easy. Anything worth doing for God is not always easy. But it is neccessary to get to the root of it and to cast that root out. Only then will you be able to be completely free. Let God show you the roots of any lesbian fantasies you have. The roots of all lesbianism and homosexuality is some kind of hurt or wound, not always in childhood, but often so. This hurt or wound is not necessarily caused by sexual abuse either, but sadly, this has become the stereotype. Many homosexuals and lesbians were never abused in their childhoods, but they were hurt in other ways. It is not clearly understood how sexual perversion arises from a hurt or wound in childhood, but this seems to be one of the ways some people choose to deal with unresolved pain in their lives. So it is important that you humble yourself when you take this issue to the Lord, and and be honest about the lust you have which is the desire for 'strange flesh'. And call it exactly what it is - strange flesh! Don't concern yourself with shocking God - He has heard far worse. And He knows all about your struggle. He has seen every thing you have ever done and every thought you have thought and loves you just the same. But my dear sister in the Lord, it's time now to get the victory over this sin that seeks to destroy you. Not only will you need to repent of all sexual perversion, you will need to do spiritual warfare against it. You cannot be passive! If you want to truly be free you will have to fight. And if you are a true child of God, you have the Holy Spirit living within you. You will therefore be able to draw on His strength to help you to fight this, to help you to do what is right in God's eyes and to resist temptation. Remember, God would not command us to repent of sin if He were willing and able to give us the strength and grace to have victory over sin. There are many people with changed lives that will gladly testify to the power of God for victory over homosexuality. God specializes in changing lives. The Bible says "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds" (2 Corinthians 10:4) "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand". (Ephesians 6:13) "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God" (2 Corinthians 3:5) "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me". (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Friend, do not live another day or night struggling with the sin of lesbianism or homosexuality. If you are struggling with lesbian or homosexual thoughts and you are a Christian, if you truly desire to be set free, just humble yourself before God and admit that you are in bondage to this sin. Go to the Lord, humble yourself before Him and repent of all sexual sin, including all lesbian or homosexual thoughts you have had, or any sexually perverted activity you have ever done. This is very important if you truly wish to be set free. Now it is important to remember that this is a very private thing - you do not need to tell anyone else about it, it is between you and God. After you have fully repented of all known sexual sin and all sexually perverted thoughts you have had, then you need to give all of it to the Lord. What does this mean? Well, just what I said - just give it all to the Lord. Just give it all up! Give up trying to gratify those lusts - lust can never be satisfied and all lust ends in frustration and emptiness in the end. And give up trying to fight this in your own strength, you will not win. Give up trying to ease your conscience by accusing others of what you are secretly doing yourself. (which if you have been doing needs to be repented of also) Just give it all up, give it all to Jesus and admit you are helpless to fight the desire you have for sex with your own sex. Be that graphic and that honest! The more honest you are, the more freedom you'll get. Give it all to God. Give it ALL to Him, every lustful thought, every innordinate affection, every perverted thought, every unclean thought and every sexually perverted desire. Give it to Jesus Christ. Just hand it over to Him. And tell him you no longer want it! Tell Him that you no longer want to live to please your flesh, you now want to live to please God. Tell God that you now want to live a life of sexual purity. And if you are sincere, God will truly help you to do this. But do not expect change over night. The lesbian or homosexual stronghold on your life did not develop overnight, it took many years. And it is going to take time to get completely free. But if you truly want to please God, the amount of time it takes to be set free will not matter. Remember, all this is not about you, it is about God and what He requires of all who live on this earth. And for those who think they will just continue to cover up their sexual perversion, remember, covering up sin only makes it worse, and more powerful in a person's life. It's time to be honest about it and take it to the Lord. God is eagerly awaiting all who struggle with sexual perversion to go to Him for forgiveness, cleansing, healing and complete freedom.
